Thebarton Aquatic Centre
The Thebarton Aquatic Centre manages a swimming pool and provides swimming lessons and a wide variety
of water-related services. It is owned by the Henley & Grange Swimming Club and all surpluses are
used for the benefit of the members.
Anchor Business Systems has been very helpful for us in assisting to turn around
our financials.
We have come from dare I say a not enviable position a few years ago.
That's because we didn't have the financial expertise that we needed in accountancy
and bookkeeping.
Anchor Business Systems helped us set up MYOB and improve our financial systems.
They also handle:-
- our payroll of about 70 employees,
- end of month processing and preparation of our Activity Statements,
- helping us set up our budgets each year,
- produce a management report each month showing actual to budget comparisons
and a summary of key balance sheet accounts, and
- liaising with our Auditors who also handle accounting matters that are
outside the expertise of Anchor Business Systems.
This arrangement has let us be one step ahead of the competition and I think
it's been a very positive move for us to use Anchor Business Systems.
I would like to add that we are doing a $400,000 redevelopment and without
the expertise of Anchor Business Systems it would have been much harder to
convince the relevant people that we deserved backing.
