John Pugh - Owner and Director
John has a degree in Accounting and holds a Public Practice Certificate with the National Institute of Accountants.
He has extensive business experience including:-
- Various roles with the Australian Tax Office,
- Account Manager with an international computer company,
- Designing and conducting training courses on business subjects including Word, Excel and MYOB,
- Developing custom business systems using a variety of development tools,
- Setting up scores of business systems including MYOB and
- Providing bookkeeping and payroll services for a wide variety of clients.
New Laws, Systems and Documentation
New laws have introduced stringent requirements for people providing bookkeeping services that include preparing Activity Statements. We anticipate an increase in audit activity by the Tax Office in conjunction with these new laws.
To prepare for these challenges, we have increased the emphasis of the business on providing BAS and related services.
Our system development skills (reflected in our trading name) are used to build systems to help us to:-
- Improve our planning and scheduling to meet the tight deadlines for lodging Activity Statement,
- Provide documentation for our people and our clients to help improve workflows and quality control, and
- Customise reports and feedback to help business owners understand and improve their businesses.
